Yes! The two day-planning practices we recommend most highly (to makers and managers alike) are:
- Add day-planning as a task in your day plan. Instead of viewing it as a thing you do in preparation for work, view it as a daily part of your work.
- Whenever possible, start that day-planning task at the end of each workday, rather than at the beginning, reserving any morning day planning for adjustments, not from-scratch blueprinting. The point being that your warm brain today is good for jump-starting your cold one tomorrow, while your cold brain may be better at identifying lofty expectations and course correcting as needed.
